More Background Info

Just a little bit more about me and my journey...

As I have said before I am a wife and a mom of 3 wonderful children ages 4, 2, and 6 weeks. I have been teaching physical education for 10 years. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in health, fitness, and nutrition. Growing up I was very interested in sports-especially basketball. I also got very interested in running in high school and shortly after college. Some back and hip issues have slowed me down dramatically. As a PE teacher I have to say that most of the years I have been teaching I have not been in the best shape. After college, I began to get very interested in natural health. I have read several books on alternative health and nutrition, have done several fasts, had a short stint with vegetarianism and the South Beach Diet and pretty much just gave up. I also became very interested in energy work-especially Healing Touch and meditation. When I had kids there just didn't seem to be enough time to focus on it all. My energy levels were extremely low, and I was doing what I could to just get through the day teaching, coaching, being a wife and taking care of my kids.

Even as I write this my little one wants breakfast so I will continue in a bit.
